Part art, part alchemy, the crystalline glaze is an incredible process of growing crystals inside the molten glaze under extreme heat and pressure of the kiln.
Opal Crystalline
This delicate glaze shows off a colour fading from white, pastel yellow to light blue with a few round crystal formations.
Each glaze is a unique recipe containing about 10 different minerals. We test and refine each formula to reveal its most beautiful qualities.
Sapphire Crystalline
This lustrous glaze has a sapphire-blue sheen and looks absolutely majestic on the minimal oval shaped vase. The glaze ranges from glossy with a few crystals to a more satin finish.
Each piece still takes its own identity in the firing and is completely unique and unrepeatable.
Wattle Crystalline
Reminiscent of Australian native flora this glaze is a pleasant peach to green gradient with a few flower- or star-like crystals.
Amber Crystalline
The unique glaze recipe based around nickel produces an elegant amber background and “blooms” of blue crystals speckled around the minimal shape of the vase.
Jade Crystalline
This bright crystalline glaze is exquisite with larger "inflorescences" of crystals that seem to be glowing through the surface. The effect is obtained by a unique glaze formula made up from copper and a few other elements.
